Readings

On Sunday August 22nd Urban Deva founder Thea Euryphaessa, will be reading from her book 'Running into Myself' at Manchester's spectacular Gorton Monastery. The magnificent Monastery sits alongside the Taj Mahal and the ancient ruins of Pompeii as having been listed in the 100 most endangered sites in the world, with a rich heritage that should never be lost. The reading will commence in the main space at 2pm prompt. Entry is free and all are welcome. Directions and contact details for the Monastery can be found here: www.themonastery.co.uk/contact.html

Workshops

Urban Deva’s work is chiefly group-oriented. Our main focus, however, are women negotiating threshold-crossings – whether menarche, marriage, motherhood, divorce, menopause or cronedom (by the way, we use the term ‘crone’ in a wholly positive way, something to be celebrated – the crowning of a life – and in no way derogatory or negative). We aim to reconnect them with their inner authority, and help nurture a deepened sense of self-identity and purpose within their lives, their bodies, and the larger community.

We are also planning workshops which will focus around dreamwork, myths, and storytelling. For details on forthcoming events, please subscribe to the Urban Deva blog or check back regularly to ensure you don’t miss out. Alternatively, if you are a group or organisation and would like to arrange for Thea to give a reading from her book, please contact us.
